Hello, I have been considering using the video feature with my mac and i was wondering if anyone had tried, what were the problems you encountered and if there are any known compatibilities issues to be aware of ( between MAC and PCs, Betwen different software). Any suggestions?

A new website that could be of interest to all: http://www.tokbox.com. It allows you to enter on a one-on-one discussion with a video cam and microphone. It is free but I have not been able to talk to anyone yet as I need ot register my students in first but it is pretty easy and other big advantage, it does not cost anything. ( at the moment)

One way to have a discussion board that includes short video clips is http://www.eyejot.com/. Eyejot allows for one minute video clips to be sent to an email address or archived in a discussion board. Membership is free. there is not software to install. And it is asynchronous....

I am trying it with my French class this semester and will post my findings later during the semester.

I tried http://www.tokbox.com this morning with a friend in southern Mexico and I had a huge voice delay (okay not huge, but it was annoying). We then switched to Skype and there was no voice delay, but we had a problem both using our cameras.
